Amanda coordinates clinical trials research in patients with Parkinson’s Disease for the physicians at the Movement Disorders Center, performing a combination of clinical and patient assistive rolls. This includes maintaining the appropriate documentation required for research studies and communicating closely with the various participants in clinical trials research, including patients, healthcare providers, internal and external regulatory groups, and pharmaceutical companies. She also enjoys the opportunity to work closely with patients by coordinating study visits, providing patient and family education regarding clinical trials, and conducting research evaluations.

Amanda is working on variety of trials including the Parkinson's Outcome Project Registry, an international/national long-term study in the clinical care patients are receiving.

North Florida Young Onset Parkinson Support Group

The Young Onset Support Group meets in Gainesville the second Monday of every month, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the United Church of Gainesville; Seminar Room A.(1624 NW 5th Avenue; Gainesville FL) Patients who recently have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and are age 55 and younger are welcome.
