Behavior and Emotion Research

The research led by Dawn Bowers, Ph.D. focuses on cognitive, emotional, and motivational processes and how these are affected by neurologic and psychiatric disorders. Dr. Bowers and her team study normal individuals across the lifespan and individuals with specific clinical disorders including: temporal and frontal lobe epilepsy (before and after seizure surgery), Parkinson’s disease, mild cognitive impairment and dementia, focal brain lesions, and major depressive disorder.
