The Young Onset Support Group meets in Gainesville the second Monday of every month, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the United Church of Gainesville; Seminar Room A.(1624 NW 5th Avenue; Gainesville FL)

Patients who recently have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and are age 55 and younger are welcome.

Also, if you still have a very active lifestyle and have PD, you are welcome to attend.

Reservations are not needed.  Light refreshments are served. Call Amanda Fessenden, at (352) 294-5434 if you have any questions

The diagnosis of Young-Onset Parkinson’s disease is the same as Idiopathic, or typical, Parkinson’s disease except for the age of the patient. The average age of PD diagnosis is around 62.

When an individual is diagnosed with PD before the age of 50, the disorder is called Young-Onset Parkinson’s disease. (YOPD)

Come learn about the Disease and be supported from people who really understand.
