Pre-Health Volunteer Application for Movement Disorders

We have volunteer positions available for pre-med undergrads with a desire to be involved in research/clinical experience. Students will need to be able to devote a minimum of 8 hours per week to this program. We require a minimum of two semesters of participation.

Volunteers will make clinical research packets and edit videos of patients seen in clinic. They will also assist in other tasks to assist our lab and clinic. These include various data cleaning tasks and various organizational tasks.

Currently, due to the pandemic, shadowing is not allowed in UF Health clinics. When that changes we will allow you to shadow in our clinic twice per month. You will also be able to attend the weekly Movement Disorders and Grand Rounds conferences where patient cases and research are discussed.

NOTE: If shadowing does start back up, you will need to get medical clearance and that may include any shots that you need and you will need to pay for.

We are looking for dedicated individuals. Previous and current volunteers have learned a great deal about movement disorders and their treatment while working with us.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
