Exercise videos for Parkinson disease and other movement disorders

During this time when we are at home more than usual and getting to rehab visits is difficult, getting exercise is even more important. One of our interns, Jillian, made 4 videos for our movement disorder patients to help them stay active and flexible while at home.

As with any exercise, it is important that you do these safely and stop if you feel uncomfortable. Much of this can be done from a chair even if Jillian isn’t sitting in one in the video.

Exercise is not without its risks and this or any other exercise program many result in injury. As with any exercise program, if at any point during your workout you begin to feel faint, dizzy or have physical discomfort, you should stop immediately and consult a medical professional.
