Tourette Awareness Month 2016

May 15- June 15, 2016 is Tourette Association of America’s National Awareness Month. This month is dedicated to promote unity, awareness and support for those with Tourette Syndrome and their families.

This is recognized nationally and is promoted at each Center of Excellence within the Southeast. Please visit the Tourette Association for information on 5 easy ways that you can get involved an support this month from your own home.

Here are some of the ways that you can follow up with your Centers of Excellence to join in the promoting this effort:

  • Join the ThunderClap on Social Media by posting this to your media outlet of choice
  • #tiChallenge

 

 

 

 

  • #tiChallenge: During the week of May 22-May 30th, create an ‘I Challenge’ video and past it to raise awareness.  Please see guidelines here.
  • Wear Teal on Tuesdays. By simply wearing a teal shirt, pin, bracelet, button, nail polish, etc., you can help support the mission.
  • Participate in a Local Virtual Awareness 5K Walk during the Awareness Month. Follow up with your local TS support group to find out details on a virtual walk. For information on North Central Florida’s Walk, please visit their link here.
