The Kinetra battery type is the most difficult of all batteries for estimating battery life. The design of this battery limits the applicability of calculations and therefore estimates should be combined with clinical surveillance of symptoms. There are cases where batteries last longer than calculated estimations.
We recommend estimations be used to allow for closer monitoring of battery life especially in the final year where a pre-emptive replacement can be planned before failure.
The default time of use has been set to 24 hours of continuous use, although this can be modified.
