Alison Kraus graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2013 from Ithaca College and a B.S. in Clinical Health Studies from Ithaca College in 2011. Alison was designated a Neurologic Certified Specialist in Physical Therapy in 2016 following her completion of the national board exam. Since completion of graduate school, she has worked in varying settings including acute care neurology, and outpatient neurology.

Currently, Alison works at Shands Rehab at UF Center for Movement Disorders and Neurorestoration. She is now responsible for evaluating and treating patients with movement disorders to improve their quality of life. She works to coordinate care with local and non-local physical therapists to promote wellness in patients with Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Traumatic Brain Injury.

Alison has worked with local organizations to establish a Multiple Sclerosis Exercise Class as well as a Dance for Life class specific for patients with Multiple Sclerosis. She also evaluates and treats a variety of other movement disorders diagnoses including Parkinsonisms, Dystonia, Cerebellar Ataxia and Essential Tremor.
